Right now, we’re planning a very special themed week where we want to present Braille to you and to the whole world in a truly fantastic and creative way.
A week full of unique, digital Braille art.
Braille in video games!
You may have heard of games like Minecraft, Terraria, No Man’s Sky or Enshrouded.
These are all games where sighted players, among other things, can let their creativity run wild when it comes to building, designing and creating all kinds of structures.
And in those games, Braille can be represented beautifully.
If you’d like, you’re more than welcome to join in.
By chance, we came across a great YouTube video that shows exactly how to build Braille in Minecraft. It’s super easy to follow for sighted viewers and makes you want to give it a try right away.
So go ahead! Tell your friends and family about it and show them the video. Maybe you can even help them create something in Braille themselves.
What you choose to build, a word, a name, a sentence, is entirely up to you.
Just send us your finished creations as a screenshot, or as a short video where you fly around your work using the in-game camera, to .
And who knows, maybe your friends will come up with their own creative ideas for how to represent Braille in other games. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Heute möchten wir euch von einem unserer zukünftigen Themenevents erzählen, das uns wirklich sehr am Herzen liegt!
Momentan planen wir eine ganz besondere Themenwoche, in der wir euch und der ganzen Welt die Brailleschrift auf eine wirklich fantastische und kreative Weise präsentieren wollen.
Eine Woche voller individueller, digitaler Braillekunst.
Braille in Videospielen!
Vielleicht habt ihr schon einmal von Spielen wie Minecraft, Terraria, No Man’s Sky oder Enshrouded gehört.
Das sind alles Games, in denen sehende Gamer unter anderem ihrer Kreativität freien Lauf lassen können, wenn es um das Bauen, Gestalten und Erschaffen von Strukturen jeder Art geht.
In diesen Spielen lässt sich auch wunderbar Brailleschrift darstellen.
Und wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr sehr gerne mitmachen.
Zufällig haben wir auf YouTube ein tolles Video gefunden, das perfekt zeigt, wie man zum Beispiel Braille in Minecraft bauen kann. Es ist für sehende super anschaulich und macht direkt Lust, es selbst auszuprobieren.
Also: Erzählt euren Freunden und Bekannten davon und zeigt ihnen das Video. Vielleicht könnt ihr ihnen danach sogar helfen, selbst etwas in Braille zu bauen.
Was ihr darstellen wollt, ein Wort, ein Name, ein Satz, das bleibt ganz euch überlassen.
Eure fertigen Kunstwerke schickt ihr uns einfach als Screenshot oder gern auch als kleines Video, in dem ihr zum Beispiel mit der Spielkamera um eure Kreation herumfliegt, an .
