The Braillefinders in action

You won’t believe it! Some of us have already been on a summer holiday.
What’s easier to believe, though, is that we stumbled upon something truly special: a feel-worthy place in the lovely little town of Harlingen, a charming harbour town on the Dutch North Sea coast.
Definitely worth feelseeing.
Naturally, we were quick enough to snap a few photos of our discovery and of course we wouldn’t dream of keeping them from you.

A picture of the entire tactile model of the Harlingen city centre. The model is made out of bronze in a scale of 1:1000 with a size of roughly 80 by 120 centimetres. The outlines are matching the shape of Harlingen. All buildings as well as harbour structures and vessels are modelled. The names of landmarks and canals are written in both tactile roman letters and braille.
