Welcome to the second day of our fearless travelers’ journey through the Hohenlohe!
Today’s log entry comes from Acting Captain Reiner Delgado and it even includes a small Braille discovery.
And of course, no entry would be complete without the matching photos!
In the Hotel in Sulzbach in the stairhouse there are tactile labels on the handrail.
One label shows the level where you are, in this case: OG 1 which means 1. floor and an arrow with the flor you reach using the stairs, in this case: OG 2 which means 2. floor. The labels are in raised letters and braille.
Daily report:
The three groups walked the second tour 15 km from Sulzbach to Buehlertann. he tour was a bit shorter than the day before and much easier. The navigation commends worked very well this time and the ways were easier to walk.
It shows the hiking way from Sulzbach to Buehlertann with a thin line of dots. The tour goes for some kilometers to the north and turns than to the east; it passes through the village Gaifertshofen and then goes to Buehlerzell were it turns to the north and reaches after some kilometers to Buehlertann. The names of the four villages are marked with braille.
At the right side there liing pine cones in the formation of the braille letters EBU for European Blind Union.
After managing the tour of this day one participant said: “The pain I feel is a beautiful pain.”
Wander-trek: Voyager, Der zweite Tag
Willkommen zur zweiten Etappe der furchtlosen Wanderer auf ihrer Reise durch die Hohenlohe!
Im heutigen Logbucheintrag des amtierenden Captains Reiner Delgado gibt es sogar eine kleine Braille-Entdeckung.
Und natürlich darf auch das passende Bildmaterial nicht fehlen!

Im Hotel in Sulzbach gibt es im Treppenhaus taktile Beschriftungen am Handlauf.
Eine Beschriftung zeigt die Etage an, in der man sich befindet, in diesem Fall: OG 1, was 1. Etage bedeutet, und einen Pfeil mit der Etage, die man über die Treppe erreicht, in diesem Fall: OG 2, was 2. Etage bedeutet. Die Beschriftungen sind in erhabenen Buchstaben und in Brailleschrift angebracht.
Tagesbericht:
Die drei Gruppen wanderten die zweite Tour von 15 km von Sulzbach nach Bühlertann. Die Tour war etwas kürzer als am Vortag und viel einfacher. Die Navigationshilfen funktionierten diesmal sehr gut und die Wege waren leichter zu gehen.
Auf dem Foto sieht man die taktile Karte des Tages auf transparenter Plastikfolie auf dem Rasen. Sie zeigt den Wanderweg von Sulzbach nach Bühlertann mit einer dünnen Punktlinie. Die Tour verläuft einige Kilometer nach Norden und biegt dann nach Osten ab; sie führt durch das Dorf Gaifertshofen und dann nach Bühlertann, wo sie nach Norden abbiegt und nach einigen Kilometern Bühlertann erreicht. Die Namen der vier Dörfer sind in Brailleschrift gekennzeichnet.

Nach der Tour an diesem Tag sagte einer der Teilnehmer: „Der Schmerz, den ich spüre, ist ein schöner Schmerz.“
