I enjoy singing large choral works. I have the Braille music stored on my Braille display. Because we stand during the performances, I hang the Braille display in a loop at waist height in front of my stomach. My fingers tapping away are not visible to the audience because a soprano is standing in front of me. Well, my son was sitting in the audience at the concert and he heard a comment next to him: “See the tenor on the left in the middle? He sings everything from memory and he’s the only one who always looks at the conductor!”

Manchmal braucht es nicht mehr als eine amysante Anekdote, um gut in den Tag zu starten. So eine Anekdote hat heute Martin Huwyler für euch.

Ich singe gerne grosse Chorwerke. Die Braillenoten habe ich dabei auf der Breillezeile gespeichert. Weil wir in den Aufführungen jeweils stehen, hänge ich die Braillezeile in eine Schlaufe in Hüfthöhe vor meinem Bauch. Meine tastenden Finger sind vom Publikum aus nicht zu sehen, weil eine sopranistin vor mir steht. Nun, Beim Konzert sass mein sohn im Publikum und er hörte eine Bemerkung neben sich: «Siehst du den Tenor links in der Mitte, er singt alles auswendig und er ist der Einzige, der immer auf den Dirigenten schaut!»
