a Quilt Wall Hanging
I am Traude Pruen from Germany
The quilt was made as my contribution in a challenge to the 40 year jubilee of the „Patchwork Gilde Deutschland“. All fabrics used had to be red. The quilt is now shown in different exhibitions.
Usually the quilts shown in exhibitions are not allowed to be touched. The Braille jubilee inspired me, to make a quilt, which in contrast is intended to be touched. I used fabrics with different structures and designed the surface with 3-dimentional elements including the Braille letters.
