September is already behind us. So it’s high time to look back on it once again.
We were treated to some great contributions this month: exciting events, wonderful texts from people who shared their experiences of living with Braille, and a delightfully colorful variety of images covering a wide range of topics.
Our winner’s text actually combined both: a touching story from real life and a special experience that was wonderfully connected to Braille.
Congratulations, Ana Fontes, on your experience, in which Braille unexpectedly came to the fore for many people!
As we have been busy with our theme week over the last few days, we were even able to get a personal statement from our winner Ana.
After her words of thanks, you will also find the link to her entry, Moving Fingers.
Personal Statement of Ana
The news that my entry had won the prize for September left me speechless at first. But now I enjoy my initial speechlessness as a feeling of honor and reward for my commitment to Braille 200 and as recognition of my long-standing connection with braille and the German language. Without this knowledge, I would not have been able to write anything at all. Thank you very much!
