This Sunday, let’s look back at eleven entries that won prizes last year and were selected from many other great entries.
Many of them were stories from special periods in people’s lives: learning new skills, adapting to new circumstances, and special life events. All of these entries are inextricably linked to Braille.
Another major area was Braille art. This included socks with Braille, bobbin lace, tactile images, and works in which Braille was combined with communication.
And, of course, the Braille mirror poem should not go unmentioned.
The winning entry for December takes a completely different and unique direction. It’s all about play, fun, and learning. It is a contribution that brings people together and makes Braille active and accessible to everyone.
We at Braille 200 congratulate Britta Winkelnkemper and thank her very much. Not only for presenting her game ideas to us, but especially for the story behind how this collection of game ideas came about in the first place.
