Our initiative is coming to an end. But another campaign is just getting started, so 2026 also promises to be a fantastic year for Braille.
And you can all be part of it at the kick-off event this Sunday.
There will be a panel discussion with internationally recognized Braille experts who will discuss current and emerging issues in Braille literacy in inclusive school, work, and community contexts.
As part of the launch of the broad-based campaign, ICEVI and WBU will also release a video highlighting their joint efforts to promote the right to Braille literacy worldwide.

To mark World Braille Day 2026, the International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI) and the World Blind Union (WBU) are proud to launch a two-year global campaign championing braille as a foundation for literacy, learning, independence, and empowerment.
